Pyrantel pamoate

Indication

Treatment of the infection w/ any of the following GI parasites when these are present, either alone or as a mixed infection: Enterobius vermicularis (threadworm, pinworm), Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworm), Ancylostoma duodenale (hookworm), Necator americanus (hookworm) & Trichostrongylus (Colubriformis & orientalis)

Dosage / Direction For Use

Tab Childn ≥15 yr 500 mg, 10-14 yr 375 mg, 5-9 yr 250 mg, 2-<5 yr 125 mg. To be taken 4 times a yr or once every 3 mth. Susp >15 yr 4 tsp (20 mL), 10-14 yr 3 tsp (15 mL), 5-9 yr 2 tsp (10 mL), <5 yr 1 tsp (5 mL).
